Key Arrest in Monywa Gold Robbery Case
A 22-year-old woman, identified as May Rog (aka Akhon Sein), has been arrested for her involvement in the robbery of the Nawarat Shwe gold shop in Monywa Township, Sagaing Division. The arrest occurred on November 12, according to the Monywa Township Public Security Organization (Palafa).

Woman Voluntarily Surrenders
The suspect came forward and contacted Palafa voluntarily before being apprehended.
“A woman involved in the Nawarat Shwe Shop robbery contacted us with her consent and was arrested,” confirmed a Palafa representative.
Investigations Underway
Palafa has launched a thorough investigation into the incident.
“There are still more suspects involved in this chain of events, so detailed information cannot yet be disclosed,” said a representative from Palafa.
Authorities are urging other individuals linked to the crime to surrender voluntarily to avoid further legal consequences.

The robbery dates back to September 25–26, during which three places in Monywa town, including the Nawarat Shwe gold shop, were targeted.

- Shan Lay (aka Yan Myo Naing), aged 37
The suspects were detained in October, and weapons used in the robbery were confiscated.
